Jon McCall, ex-Y’all is Fantasy Island drummer issues his 2nd EP on Wise Blood entitled Dwarf Management.

Clocking in at just over 13 minutes, it is an unhurried, psychedelic melch of breathy clarinet, glockenspiel and sparrow. There’s advice for magpies on domestic cats. Listen to it this late summer/autumn in your allotment shed while finishing that book you started on the regional accents of birds.

Wise Blood Industries are proud to re-issue Y’all is Fantasy Island’s entire back catalogue digitally for the first time and for FREE!

The zipfile contains all 4 of YiFI’s official albums and a 5th LP of previously unreleased and unheard demos and rarities, from 4-track sketches to instrumental jams to album outtakes.

The group properly assembled in Falkirk in the summer of 2005 after songwriter Adam Stafford had been recording under the YiFI guise since 01. They quickly became a mainstay on the Scottish Live scene in the ensuing years, playing with everyone from Frightened Rabbit, Lach, The Radar Bros and The Handsome Family and becoming something of a roving collective with a revolving-door line-up of members between 06-11.

Despite massive acclaim from the national and local press, the group never found a label that would help them realise their full potential and thus, all of their albums were self-released, their appeal remained small and contained. After guitarist and chief recording engineer Tommy Blair departed in 2010, the unit played only three more live shows before announcing their split in February 2011.

Their legacy lives on in The Complete Recordings.

Jon McCall, former- Y’all is Fantasy Island clarinetist/drummer aka Bobby Womb issues his debut EP on WBI.

Containing lush and sometimes disorientating solo Clarinet compositions flanked by drums, radiator-clanging and Xylophone, there’s a Bernard Herrmann-esque quality to the four instrumental tracks.
